JUNE IS ALZHEIMER’S AND BRAIN AWARENESS MONTH
Today 47 million people are living with Alzheimer’s Disease. June 21st is the summer solstice and also a huge fundraising event for the Alzheimer’s Association called “The Longest Day”. As you know, the number of Alzheimer’s and other dementias patients are supposed to soar over the coming years. The only way to combat it is by committing more dollars to research .
We’re asking the world to go purple on this day! Wear purple and show your support of all of the people who suffer from all types of Dementia. This is also Father’s Day so remember all of the father’s who have lost their fight, those that are still fighting, and the ones who have not yet begun to fight!
I’m asking you to wear purple and consider donating to the Alzheimer’s Association. We are signed up to walk in the “WALK TO END ALZHEIMER’S” again this year on Oct. 24th in Spartanburg, SC. I would love it if you would donate to our team! Once again, it will be my mom, hubby and I and anyone else I can
drag talk into it! Here is a link to our team page. Last year we met so many amazing people who fight every day to put an end to these horrible diseases and every year it has just gotten bigger and better. I love seeing the families out there supporting each other. I’ve seen parents, kids, grandparents, husbands, wives, sisters, brothers, and grandkids and they all seem to be having the time of their lives supporting a good cause. Find a walk in your community and join up!
On June 21st please show your support by wearing purple! On Twitter and Facebook use the hashtag #GoPurple and #ENDALZ! Go to Alz.org and take the purple pledge to support those with Alzheimer’s Disease!
Thanks so much!
Appreciate the good, laugh at the crazy, and deal with the rest.
I love you, momma!
