THIS IS A NEW ERA IN ALZHEIMER’S/DEMENTIA RESEARCH!

https://thediaryofanalzheimerscaregiver.com/2014/11/new-era-in-alzheimers-dementia-research/THIS IS A NEW ERA IN ALZHEIMER’S/DEMENTIA RESEARCH!

Anytime I can bring awareness to Alzheimer’s Research I’m all in. It’s a disease that was thrust upon my family when my mom was diagnosed in 2011. In 2013 we realized it would better for her to come and live with us. We struggled and grieved for everything that we were losing, the future, and next day.

So, I began studying and researching, reaching out to other caregivers, stalking I mean reading other great websites. That is when I started writing about this journey we are taking and sharing the things that I dig up along the way. That’s how TDAC began.

ALZHEIMER’S DISEASE IS FATAL. My mother will die from Alzheimer’s Disease or one of the MANY, MANY complications that come from it. Most days we don’t dwell on this and instead enjoy every second good and bad of whatever time she has left. I feel privileged to be her caregiver, her friend, and her daughter.

A lot of people ask me what the difference is between dementia and Alzheimer’s so here is the answer. Saying that someone has dementia is like saying someone has cancer. It doesn’t tell you what kind it is. Whether it is breast, colon or brain cancer. Dementia is an umbrella for Alzheimer’s Disease, Lewy Body Dementia, Vascular Dementia and also Parkinson’s Disease.

It is the 6TH LEADING CAUSE OF DEATH  in the United States. It is the only disease out of the top 10 with NO KNOWN CURE, NO TREATMENT, AND NO PREVENTION! Every 68 seconds another family is crushed by this diagnosis. Think about that for a moment 68 SECONDS!

JOIN US Today!

The Memories You Save Could Be Your Own…

HERE’S THE PROBLEM…The reason that there is no cure, no treatment, and no prevention is because the scientist can’t find people to study. 80% of research studies fail to attract enough participants to ever get off the ground! Researchers may need to speak to 30,000 people just to get 2,000 that may be needed. They study people who suffer from dementia BUT to ever be able to find a cause and a possible cure, THEY NEED YOU!

They need to look at healthy people. Find out about their lifestyles. See what people are or aren’t doing and study these statistics to find out what may be causing this dreadful, deadly disease. They need to know what we’re drinking and eating. Whether or not we smoke, exercise, or things like this. That’s the only way they are ever going to be able to finally put an end to the suffering. TO FINALLY FIND A TREATMENT, CURE OR PREVENTION OF ALZHEIMER’S DISEASE.

This is where you can help out. There is a new initiative by the BANNER ALZHEIMER’S INSTITUTE. They are doing ground breaking research. They are trying to develop a new international standard of care.

This is a collaboration with doctors and groups from all over the world such as the John Hopkin’s Institute, the Alzheimer’s Association, Columbia University, the Cleveland Clinic and many, many others. They need one uniform registry of people who will stand up and be accounted for. People who will say “We’ll Help”. People who will be counted on.

The best part is that it is so EASY! You only have to do one small thing. If you would just go to endalznow.org. On this website, there is a registry. Think about it, you could be part of ending this horrendous disease. You could one day be protecting yourself, your children and your grandchildren.

I am asking that all my readers sign up today. Please they need your help and it is just a small thing. One minute of painless support. For my family and for yours let’s finally find a cure! ENDALZNOW.ORG
