If you read my last post “What are the 7 Scariest Words That A Woman Could Hear?” then you know I’ve been waiting desperately for news about a mass that was found. I went to see the Surgeon on Monday to get the results of my ROMA blood test. It’s also called the C-125 test or BioMarker. The graphic below shows what my test results looked like:
The Dr. says there is about a 10% chance that I have cancer and I really like those odds. The next step is to have a total hysterectomy which is scheduled for Nov 16th. After the surgery, they will send everything off to have tested. I was hoping to have it over with a lot sooner, but it wasn’t to be. So, I continue to wait, but with a better feeling of optimism than I had last week. Monday morning I told my husband that I woke up with a calmness and sense of peace that I haven’t felt in months. He has been beside himself and I told him that everything is going to just fine and I believe that. I think after the surgery my life can finally get back to normal. Let’s just hope no one wants to buy our house before then! I’m not even ready to deal with that!
