THE 2015 #WALK2ENDALZ IN GREENVILLE, SC WAS A HUGE SUCCESS!
Another year has come and gone for the annual #Walk2EndAlz walkathon in Greenville, SC. This year we had two more walkers. Actually, I guess you would have to call them hitchhikers since they aren’t able to walk quite yet. They loved the crowd and the walking and they made it even more fun for us.
We arrived at Fluor Field, the home of the Greenville Drive baseball team, at 6:45 a.m. on Saturday morning after a mandatory stop for breakfast! After getting everyone ready and out the door on time I knew a good meal would get everybody off to a good start.
It was pretty cold until the sun came up, but then it warmed up quickly and was rather warm about halfway through the 3-mile walk. They had changed up the course some from last year due to the recent flooding down around the Reedy River where we walked last year. It’s a shame because everyone thinks it’s the most beautiful part of the whole walk. Maybe next year Mother Nature will cooperate! There was a much bigger crowd this year than there was last year! It was so heartwarming to see everyone willing to come out and brave the cold!
I hope you enjoy the pictures and maybe it will inspire you to sign up for your own city’s walk next October! We’ll be there! Hope to see you too! I’m sure next year our two newest walkers will actually be able to walk instead of riding in the stroller! They are already both crawling so we know it won’t be long!
Remember to appreciate the good, laugh at the crazy, and deal with the rest. I love you, momma!
